Your 2018-2019 SWE Officers
SUZANNA STENGER: PRESIDENT
Hi! My name is Suzanna Stenger. I am a junior Mechanical Engineering Technology student, and this year's UNT SWE President. Over the past two years in SWE, I have held four officer positions, with president being the fifth. One of my goals with UNT SWE is to expand our outreach programs. I have already taken great strides towards this goal by working with Girl Scouts to plan badge workshops. I have loved being a part of SWE since my first general meeting, and I am excited to see where SWE taken me in the future!
SADIA SAEED: VICE PRESIDENT
My name is Sadia Saeed and I am a junior, majoring in Mechanical & Energy Engineering. Initially, an engineer was the furthest thing from my mind when I was trying to decide what I wanted to major in. I knew that my strengths lied in math and physics but I always viewed engineers as this shrouded mysterious profession that you need a secret code to get in. I want to use my skills in an industry that is constantly changing and erupting with new ideas. Thankfully, I took the plunge and 3 years later I'm still here! I joined SWE to learn more about my role in this industry, meet new people and shed a spotlight on what I once thought as a "shrouded mysterious profession."
MEAGAN BUNCK: TREASURER
Hi, my name is Meagan Bunck and I have the absolute pleasure of being the UNT Society of Women Engineers Treasurer for the 2018-2019 School year. I am a Senior in Mechanical and Energy Engineering and I will be graduating in May of 2019 (FINALLY!). My journey with SWE only began in the Fall of 2017 and I have loved every minute of it. My,only regret is that I didn't join sooner. UNT Society of Women Engineers has offered me endless opportunities and allowed me to grow both as a student and a leader. I enjoy being Treasurer because I love the ability to be more hands on with our SWE Section. When officer elections came up I jumped at opportunity to give be able to give back to both UNT but also our fellow SWE-sters. If you ever have any questions please feel free to each out to me or any of our officers at email@example.com . Our hope is to make your experience as a member of UNT Society of Women Engineers as amazing as we possible can.
JESSICA RIDER: SECRETARY
NEHA JOHN: VP OF PUBLIC RELATIONS
BRIA WINN: VP OF PHILANTHROPY
My name is Bria Winn, and I am a senior, major in Biomedical Engineering with minors in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Medical Anthropology. This is my fourth year as a SWE member, and my first year as an officer. I am currently in charge of the After School Brain STEMs Program. At this program, we go to the library and conduct engineering activities with the kids. Working with these kids holds a special place in my heart, I get to teach them things about my future career, and they are actually interested.
DAVINA IJIMAKINWA: VP OF NETWORKING
I was born in Nigeria, but I have spent the last ten years living in Plano, TX. I am a sophomore majoring in Information Technology. I joined SWE my freshman year and I've loved it ever since! My favorite event is the Brain STEMS Program because I love working with kids!
